  • Arrive Kochi

    On arrival at Kochi's International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. A city tucked in the beauty of coconut palms and endless blue waters, Kochi is one of the important towns in South India, which also comes with a natural Harbour.

    Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the 'Gateway to Kerala'.

    Being the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea', Cochin (Kochi) is a commercial town comprising mainland Ernakulum, Willingdon Island, Mattancherry, Fort Cochin, Vypeen and Bolghatty Island. Best attratcions located here are Chinese fishing nets, a Jewish Synagogue, a Dutch Palace, and Portuguese architecture enrich Kerala's heritage.

    Later in the afternoon, you can enjoy a half day sightseeing, which consists of a heritage walk of Fort Kochi. During this, you can cover the huge Chinese fishing nets, which adorn the northern shores, Fish Market, old Streets & Churches, and Bhishop's House etc. Later, take a short drive to Mattanchery to visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Friday's), adjacent Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday's, Saturday's & Jewish Holiday's) and Jew Street.

  • Cochin

    After breakfast, drive to Vaikom (about 45 km / 01 hr approximately), a small village, which will be explored by hand punted country boat and see the daily life of the villagers. One can view the scences of natives coir processing, mat weaving, fishing, coconut oil extracting etc. All this will be followed by a traditional home-hosted Kerala Sadhya (meal) on banana leaf.

    Return to your hotel to relax for some time.

    Later in the evening, you will be taken to a local theatre of Kochi to witness famous dance drama of Kerala - Kathakali. You will also get to see the make-up session (preparation) of the show.

  • Cochin / Munnar

    After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Munnar by road (127 Kms/4Hrs), a famous hill station in Kerala known for its tea estates. On arrival, check into your hotel. Rest of the day can be spent in leisure.

  • Munnar

    HIGHLIGHT of Munnar tour: Spectacular beauty of the hill station and visit to the first Catholic Church in the high ranges along with a visit to the Tea factory.

    Today, you will visit the Eravikulam National Park. This Park harbours the largest surviving population of Nilgiri tahr (Hemitragus hylocrius). This endangerd animal is endemic to the southern Western Ghats. About 120 species of birds have been recorded which include endemics like black and ornage flycatcher, Nilgiri pipit, Nilgiri wood pegeon, white bellied shortwing, Nilgiri verditer flycatcher and Kerala laughing thrush.

    Also visit the Tea Museum, set up at the Nallathanni Estate diligently portrays the growth of Munnar tea estates, veritably conveyed through some of the displays like the rudimentary tea roller to the modern fully automated tea factory. Visitors to the museum can satiate their curiosity on various stages of tea processing, and also learn a thing or two about the production of black tea.Overnight at your hotel.

  • Munnar / Periyar (Thekkady)

    In the morning after breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Periyar (120 Kms / 4hrs approximately). Arrival and check in to the hotel.

    Periyar (Thekkady): Magical land of spices and wildlife! Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, Kerala, is one of finest and largest wildlife reserves in India. The Indian elephant comes in herds to frolic in the lake's waters. The road winds through a picturesque countryside with plantations of tea, cardamom, pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Rest of the day will be free for you to enjoy the natural wonders of Periyar.

  • Periyar

    Breakfast at your hotel.
    Today, you will visit the spice plantations, followed by a boat ride on Lake Periyar where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake (Subject to sighting). You will also enjoy a walk in the jungle.

    Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

  • Periyar / Kumarakom

    In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Kumarakom (130kms / 4hrs approximately). Kumarakom is Kerala's heartland of lagoons; palm fringed lakes, and paddy fields, inter-linked with hundreds of winding canals.

    The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala, a state in India. Geographically, it is located at 9.35 North and 76.26 East. Kumarakom's soil is extremely fertile due to the proximity of the water source, this has resulted in the growth of a wide variety of flora in Kumarakom, especially the mangrove and coconut trees. Vembanad Lake is home to several types of marine life exclusively the 'Karimeen' (Pearl Spotted Fish), the 'Chemeen' (Prawns) and the 'Konju' (Tiger Prawns).

  • Kumarakom / Alleppey

    HIGHLIGHT of the Day: A unique experience of backwater in Kerala, where you will witness the scenic beauty of backwaters along with a chance to peep into the rural life especially the Fisher folks.

    Today, you will be transfered to Alleppey to board the Houseboat, for the unique backwater cruise experience. Whilst you cruise along, you will see village along the bank of the backwaters. Have a peep into the rural life especially the Fisher folk! See, goods being traded. Alleppey, rightfully stakes claim to its nickname 'Venice of the East', with its network of inland canals and houseboat cruises along the tranquil backwaters. Your lunch and dinner are included on board today.

    Note: After 6:00 pm, the boat will not sail as fishermen lay their nets for fishing; the boat will be anchored at a suitable place for your overnight stay. The air-conditioners will be put on between 2100 to 0700 hrs only as during the day hours you will be sitting on the deck enjoying the scenic beauties of the backwaters.
